From old messy Sketch files to a Figma systematical source of truth
The Context
I was contacted by Ciáran, Design Director of the Sonder collective, to work on the design system of OpenMRS.
The outcome
The aim of scaling up the development and platform efforts has been to systematise the original Sketch File into an advanced UI Kit ready for a Design System 1.0
The process
Given the complexity of the initial project, a fairly complex work inherited from Carbon Design System, I started to import all the planned components.
My aim in the timeframe was to have a small, solid and stable version of the platform's most important layout rather than a lot of unresponsive, unmaintained and unscalable screens.
This makes it simpler and easier to apply for funding, saving money and time in developing a modular page.
